Parker Hale SMLE Factory Sporter

This is a Factory Parker Hale SMLE sporter.
Parker Hale took left over parts, added a sporting barrel and sold thousands of Lee Enfield sportes from the 1930';s right though to the 1970's.

This one is a SMLE, it has been tapped at the fatroy for scope mounts and could easily have a rail attached by a gunsmith.
The owner brought it brand new, and is now surrendering his license due to age.
The wood work is original, with the exception its had a Rubber butt pad fitted. this will need to be replaced.

The 21" barrel has a rear ladder sight, and a hooded front sight.
This barrel is the best condition barrel ive seen on a used 303. It looks almost brand new.

Matching numbers on bolt and reciever

it comes with a Parker hale 5 round, flush fitting mag.

With some love on the stock and fitting scope mounts, this would be an iconic hunting rifle, still very capable but hinting back to a bye gone era.
